Research and information sharing for medical professionals

Essentia AI can be a useful tool for research and information sharing by medical professionals and patients.  It enables you to curate and store any number of published papers and articles about important medical research.  You, your colleagues or patients can interact with the information by asking questions without having to read each article page by page. This enables a faster and easier way to consume sometimes dense and boring information.

For example, here I’ve created a collection of research about semaglutide medication from a variety of sources including the NIH, the New England Journal of Medicine and the UCLA Health website.

Semaglutides are a class of diabetes and weight loss medication which has gained quite a bit of popularity, especially under the brand names Ozempic and Wegovy.

Using the Essentia AI assistant, as a medical professional, I can ask

  • “List the clinical trials for semaglutide and weight loss.”
  • “What is the overall conclusion from these trials about the effectiveness of semaglutide for weight loss.”
  • “Is semaglutide FDA approved for weight loss”
  • “What is the difference between Wegovy and Ozempic”

The answers from the AI assistant are drawn from the curated source material that I believe are accurate and factual, so therefore I can be confident in them. At the same time, because the source pages are linked to my answer, I can always double check and investigate any of the source pages to see exactly where the answer came from.

I can also share this with my colleagues or patients by using the share option, which generates a link that allows users to access and interact with the AI assistant and source material.  What’s better is I can limit the material that I share to what I think might be relevant to my intended audience by applying filters before generating the link.
